The “Tetsuko’s Room 50th Anniversary Exhibition” ~With Love~, an exhibition looking back on the 50-year history of TV Asahi’s long-running talk show “Tetsuko’s Room ,” opened on Wednesday, July 29, in the Hall on the 8th floor of the Main Building at Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. From the very first day, many visitors flocked to the venue, where they were seen engrossed in the show’s iconic scenes and items associated with Tetsuko Kuroyanagi.
Records of conversations with approximately 12,800 guest pairs
The exhibition traces the history of conversations with approximately 12,800 guest pairs accumulated over half a century. It is designed to offer a multifaceted experience of the show’s history, featuring a section showcasing the evolution of studio sets over the years, displays of the gorgeous floral arrangements created for each guest during every recording, and the “TETSUKO THEATER,” which screens rare footage.

In addition, an exhibition corner looking back on Ms. Kuroyanagi’s work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and an installation featuring a carefully curated selection of “Tetsuko’s Quotes” from 50 years of broadcasts are also drawing attention.
At the original merchandise corner inside the venue, items such as the “Tetsuko’s Room Can”—a collaboration with <Aoyama Decarbo>—as well as glasses, drawstring pouches, and bookmarks are on sale.
