Two free night events will be held at Toyosu Park in August. On Saturday, August 22, the outdoor film screening “TOYOSU MOVIE NIGHT 2026” will take place, and on Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30, the jazz concert “Toyosu Park Jazz Night 2026” will be held.
These events stem from a structural shift in how the park is used during the summer. In contrast to the sweltering heat of the daytime, a sea breeze blows through Toyosu Park after sunset, attracting an increasing number of visitors who come to take walks or enjoy the cool evening air. These events were planned with this time of day in mind as an initiative to propose new ways to enjoy the park at night.
“TOYOSU MOVIE NIGHT 2026” Outdoor Film Screening
This marks the third year of the outdoor movie screening. Last year, approximately 500 people attended, and this year, organizers expect over 600 attendees as the event has been expanded to include stage performances by local groups and interactive activities.
The film to be screened is the DreamWorks animated movie *Madagascar* (2005). Doors open at 4:00 p.m., and the screening begins at 6:30 p.m. Visitors are welcome to bring picnic blankets and outdoor chairs to the lawn area.
The pre-screening program is also packed with activities. From 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, a collaborative giant coloring activity, a heatstroke prevention information corner, and a workshop for creating original movie tickets will be held simultaneously. From 4:45 PM to 5:15 PM, the local baton twirling club “Sakura Baton Club” will take the stage for a performance.
Starting at 5:30 p.m., Suntory’s “GREEN DA・KA・RA” will be distributed free of charge to the first 240 attendees, and food trucks from Toyosu Marche will also be on site. In case of rain, the event will be postponed to the following day.
Jazz Concert “Toyosu Park Jazz Night 2026”
This year marks the fifth edition of the jazz concert. With its unique setting of live music against the backdrop of the seaside night view, it has become a staple of Toyosu’s summer events.
The lineup will center on guitarist Takuya Kobashi. On Saturday, August 29, he will perform as the Takuya Kobashi Quartetto alongside Shinpei Ruike (Tp.), Yuki Atori (Ba.), and Hayato Yamazaki (Dr.).On Sunday, August 30, he will perform as the Takuya Kobashi Trio with Yusei Takahashi (Key.) and Takuto Yamachika (Dr.). Performances on both days will run from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, and food trucks will be on site. The event will be canceled in case of rain.
