4, HIBIYA CINEMA FESTIVAL 2025 (October 10-26)

Held for the eighth time this year, this event proposes a variety of new ways to enjoy films. 5,Touching Horror Exhibition (October 11-November 9)
The popular event that drew about 32,000 visitors to the Niigata Science Museum last year has been upgraded and will be held at Tokyo Solamachi. Focusing on the art of horror films, visitors can enjoy not only looking at the exhibited works but also photographing and touching them to get a “behind-the-scenes look at the world of horror” that cannot be seen through the screen, from the backstage of the film sets to the production know-how of the films.

This outdoor festival will be held in a space that offers a panoramic view of Tokyo, on a piece of land 10 times the size of the Tokyo Dome and 15 minutes by bus from Odaiba, which was used as the venue for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games’ integrated equestrian, rowing, and canoeing events. During the festival, visitors can also stay overnight in tents in the camping area (overnight camping ticket ¥3,000 per person). Tokyo Yosakoi” was created in 2000 as a part of the Toshima Ward Citizens’ Festival “Fukuro Matsuri” held every fall. Every year, 110 teams and 5,000 dancers from all over the country color the city with their original choreography, costumes, and music. The festival is not only a spectacle to watch, but also a moving experience to be there, with different staging at each venue, and a “So Odori” dance performance that allows people to jump in and join the dance.

One of the largest illumination in the Kanto area using the world’s first LEDs inspired by jewel colors, developed by Mikiko Ishii Design Office, a leading lighting design expert active not only in Japan but also in various parts of the world. The night view from the Ferris wheel and other rides is one of the few spectacular spots where you can see Tokyo’s famous sightseeing spots, such as the Sky Tree and Tokyo Tower, at the same time.
