This production, which premiered in London in 2022 and garnered attention through tours across the UK and performances at major theaters, will be staged at the Nissay Theatre starting Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
The highlight of the show is the sophisticated puppetry technique crafted by a British creative team. Dogs and other animals, moving as if brought to life, race across the stage, captivating audiences of all ages.
The key to the story is Cruella de Vil, the villain who reigns over London’s fashion world. Seiko Niizuma and Tomu Ranzu will perform in a dual cast. Additionally, Ryota Murai will play Pongo, the Dalmatian who fights to save the puppies, and Kate Doi will play Perdita.
[Synopsis]
One night in the suburbs of London, Pongo, a Dalmatian who had been abandoned, meets his new owner, Danielle, at an animal shelter and begins a new life. He eventually meets his partner, Perdy, and they are blessed with puppies, but someone appears who seeks to destroy their happiness.
This is Cruella, a woman in search of the latest fashion. To create the “ultimate fur,” she kidnaps puppies one after another—including 15 newborns—and eventually gathers as many as 99 puppies from all over London.
The captive puppies attempt to escape with the help of Tabby the cat. Will they be able to return safely to their families…?
