During this special viewing, four works by Tsuguharu Fujita will be displayed in the East and West Entrances, and two works not normally open to the public will be specially exhibited in the “Flower and Bird Room.”
All six paintings owned by the Akasaka Palace State Guest House are large works—measuring approximately No. 130 (about 1,540 mm × 2,110 mm)—depicting French customs from the 18th-century Louis dynasty, and they are works of striking presence.
Visitors to the main building will receive a postcard featuring one of the Tsuguharu Fujita paintings owned by the Akasaka Palace State Guest House.
A talk event featuring Ms. Yoko Hayashi, Director of the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art, is also scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, during the exhibition period.
