5, Baghdad Cafe ( November2-23 )

This is a musical of the movie “Baghdad Cafe” which has been loved by many fans since its release in 1989. It is the story of the encounter and friendship between Brenda, the proprietress of the “Baghdad Cafe” in the desert of the western United States, and Jasmine, a German tourist who appears by chance, and the bonds that spread from there between people of different nationalities, races, and positions. The theme song ” Calling You, ” sung by Jebetta Steele, was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song and has been covered by many singers.
