“Toy Story Theater” is currently running at eight theaters nationwide.
The seatbacks of every single chair in the theater are decorated with illustrations of a total of 10 different characters—including, of course, Woody, Buzz, and Jessie, as well as “Lilypad,” the new children’s tablet character introduced in this film.
Before the main feature begins, a special greeting video featuring the Japanese voice cast will be shown, and all attendees will also receive a limited-edition “Toy Story Theater Tabletop Standee” as a gift.
At Tokyo Midtown Hibiya, home to TOHO Cinemas Hibiya—where “Toy Story Theater” is being held—the “HIBIYA MID SUMMER 2026” event is also currently underway.
At Hibiya Step Plaza, an OH MY CAFE stand themed after “Toy Story 5” has opened, serving drinks and food inspired by Woody, Buzz, and Jessie.
The event also features photo spots and table decorations, allowing visitors to enjoy the world of the film both before and after the screening.

Jesse, the cowgirl doll, has watched over Bonnie—an imaginative yet shy little girl—as she grows up.
However, the arrival of the tablet—Lilypad—brings about a major change in their daily lives.
“Everyone’s time is being dominated by tablets”—just like other children, Bonnie is becoming absorbed in the screen, and if this continues, the smile that used to light up her face while she played will fade away… Faced with this crisis, Jessie turns to Woody for help.
Will Jessie be able to win back Bonnie’s heart alongside Woody and Buzz, who have teamed up once again?
Even as time passes, what can toys do? What is the ultimate answer they arrive at at the end of their adventure?
