An immersive experience facility “WONDERFUL YOKOHAMA” will open at BASEGATE Yokohama Kannai (Base Gate Yokohama Kannai) in the spring of 2026, allowing visitors to enjoy encounters with nature and other living creatures.

BASEGATE Yokohama Kannai is a large-scale complex under construction in front of JR Kannai Station as part of the “Yokohama City Hall District Utilization Project. It will include a commercial area with offices and restaurants, and a hotel that preserves and utilizes the administrative building of the former Yokohama City Hall.
The WANDARIA Yokohama experience zone will be located on the fourth floor of BASEGATE Yokohama Kannai Tower, which will also house the WANDARIA Cafe and WANDARIA Shop on the third floor.
The museum will consist of six zones with different themes, including a lush forest and a mysterious deep sea. Visitors can enjoy encounters with living creatures and nature as they tour the zones.
Using the “Wandaria App,” a dedicated application for the facility, visitors can hold their smartphones up to the creatures and learn information about the creatures that appear in the images. There are also missions that can be accomplished by finding the creatures. Touring the museum should be a good opportunity to learn about biodiversity.
