1. Imperial Viking Sal (Imperial Hotel Tokyo)
The restaurant at the Imperial Hotel was the first in Japan to create the buffet style of “taste what you like and as much as you like”. The most popular dish is the Roast Beef with Western Wasabi. After ordering, each piece is individually cut and delivered to your table by our staff. You’ll pay a changing rate for different meals; breakfast is ¥6,100, weekday lunches are ¥10,200, weekday dinners are ¥14,000, weekend lunches cost ¥12,700, and weekend dinners will set you back ¥16,500.

2. French Kitchen (Grand Hyatt Tokyo)
The all-day dining restaurant French Kitchen offers a buffet during lunch hours. Enjoy not only the daily pork and chicken dishes baked on the rotisserie, but also sweets made by the pastry team, which has placed first in pastry competitions around the world. Terrace seating is recommended on fine days. Again, prices vary by day – on weekdays you’ll pay ¥4,730 (meal only); on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays it’ll cost you ¥8,030 with a glass of champagne, or ¥11,880 with free flowing drinks.

3. Cascade Café (ANA InterContinental Hotel Tokyo)
The open, triangular dining space here is connected to the atrium lobby, and the buffet offers different themes depending on the season, such as the “Hokkaido & Summer Fruit Buffet”. Equipped with a pizza oven, rotisserie, and gridiron, the restaurant is a feast for the eyes, with Italian and Asian-inspired items. The lunch buffet costs ¥5,400 (¥6,500 on weekends and holidays), whilst the dinner buffet is ¥7,700 (¥8,900 on weekends and holidays).

4. Chef’s Live Kitchen (Hotel InterContinental Tokyo Bay)
The concept of the restaurant since its opening has been “healthy, beautiful, and fresh”. Starting with “collagen-rich soup for beautiful skin and good health,” the menu offers a wide variety of dishes including chef’s special salad, hors d’oeuvres served on small plates, hot dishes using seasonal ingredients, made-to-order parfaits, and seasonal desserts. All this, plus views over Tokyo Bay! Breakfast buffets are ¥3,630, the lunch buffet on weekdays is ¥4,840 (on weekends & holidays ¥5,720 *from June 28), dessert & light meal buffet on weekdays is ¥3,630 (on weekends & holidays ¥4,180), dinner buffet on weekdays is ¥6,270 (on weekends & holidays ¥7,370 *from June 28).

5. Dynasty (Hilton Tokyo)
Dynasty at Hilton Tokyo specialises in Chinese cooking, and offers a buffet (at a cost of ¥14,300) on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays during dinner time only. This is a very economical plan that allows you to eat as much as you like of about 100 dishes, including lobster in black bean sauce, which usually costs 15,000 yen per dish, abalone in oyster sauce, which costs 11,200 yen per dish, and Peking duck, which costs 16,500 yen per bird. You can also add all-you-can-drink for an additional ¥4,500 per person.

At the all-day dining restaurant, Cerise, guests can enjoy a buffet and a dish from the signature menu during breakfast hours of 6:30 to 10:30 on weekdays and 7:00 to 10:30 on weekends and holidays. Main dishes made to order include lobster omelette and truffle eggs Benedict. It’ll cost you ¥5,000, but at 28 floors up, the views are pretty nice.

The restaurant will offer teppanyaki, tempura, and sushi prepared in front of you by the chef, traditional roast beef with a recipe passed down from generation to generation, and the artistic “Super Series” of sweets made with the finest ingredients. Lunch buffet will cost ¥9,900 (¥12,000 on weekends and holidays), whilst the dinner buffet is ¥14,500 (¥16,000 on weekends and holidays).
